We are a 1 min walk from the Jefferson stop on the L train and a 5 minute cab ride from the Flushing stop on the J/M/Z train. Hugh Heffner no longer owns the property, but there’s still no public access inside the building, so don’t expect to see too much besides the exterior if you decide to drop by. However, our local Bushwick neighborhood is full of awesome options for dinner before you dance.

Tours of the VDL House are conducted on Saturdays by architecture students from Cal Poly Pomona. If you’re a horror movie fan, you must drive by the Nightmare on Elm Street house. It’s located in Los Angeles, and the iconic view you get from the street makes it well worth the trip. It’s currently closed to the public and no tours are available. Now that you know about some of these great landmarks in Los Angeles, all that’s left is for you to head out and see some of them for yourself!

L.A., the City of Angels, La-La Land, Tinseltown … whatever your preferred name for Los Angeles, you have to know a few things about it. There are the sandy beaches, streets lined with palm trees, and more celebrities than IMDb can count. So much has happened since the city was founded way back in 1871.

If you’re a current Angeleno, you might be saddened to hear the roads weren’t always so jam-packed during rush hour. In fact, they definitely didn’t even have a “rush hour.” To this day, we’re still talking about the Beatles’ performance at the Hollywood Bowl, and any view from Sunset Boulevard looks like it came from a movie. Here are major moments, views, and people who defined Los Angeles over the years. The House of Yes venue is located in Bushwick, Brooklyn at 2 Wyckoff Ave (Entrance at 408 Jefferson Street).
It is all about modern design, and with large open spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, and unique themes throughout, it’s really a masterpiece. Will Rogers State Park is a massive outdoor escape from the city with tons of hiking trails with canyon and ocean views. But at the center of this gorgeous park is a 31-room mansion. You can tour the home and the rest of the estate but be ready to pay for parking. However, if you decide to go on one of the guided tours of the home, parking is completely free.
You can tour this home, but you need to make a reservation beforehand since they do not offer ticketing options on-site. Even if you’re not overly interested in the house, the tour is worth it just for the views you get of the city. The Hollyhock House is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and 20th-century architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed the home. It’s a beautiful home that the city of Los Angeles owns, and it’s available for self-guided tours throughout the week. On open park days, you don’t have to pay to park or to enter the grounds, but you’ll want to check in advance since they are closed for special events. On other days of the week, wear whatever makes you feel fun, fresh, funky and fabulous.

Democrats put up a big vote — 174 — in favor of this bill, which was intended to sweeten the overall package for conservatives. The Missions and Ranchos are a special designation of historic homes that have such a unique position in telling the history of southern California that they deserve a separate page. There is always a great party at House of Yes and they keep redefining their parties with new themes, new decorations, and shows. The entry line often runs around the block, so make sure to get your tickets online before heading there. You will also be able to skip the lines in case you already purchased a ticket. Most people going to HOY wear costumes, but it’s not mandatory. If you’re looking for a costume, there is a little shop in front of the club, where you can rent one, get changed and do your make up. Spending a night out at House of Yes in Bushwick is like entering a whole new world full of room for sexual freedom. The transformative themed sets feel like an adult playground. Eames House is another home you might not have heard of if you’re not into architecture, but if you are, it is a home you must check out.
But we’re narrowing in on the last 100 years or so, when we started seeing studios pop up all over town and Old Hollywood took over. From the founding of the Griffith Observatory to the history-making O.J. Simpson chase to the recent California wildfires, we’re looking at (almost) everything that’s transpired in L.A. House of Yes was created in 2007 by Kae Burke and Anya Sapozhnikova, two of the producers behind Lady Circus. Come and watch the best artistic producers, super talented circus acrobats, drag queens, strippers, sexy go-go dancers and the world’s best musical artists. Today, nobody lives in this home, which belongs to the MAK Center for Art and Architecture.

But because of its historical significance and because it provides a look back at the architectural style from 1818, we think it’s well worth the visit. Still, a quick look at the property will leave it feeling smaller than you remember. The show portrayed it as a two-story home when in reality, it’s a single-story house. It’s still cool to check out, but currently, there are no available public tours inside the house.

Still, 37 “no” votes, while a break from Washington’s ironclad support for the Jewish state, fell short of the opposition bloc progressives had hoped to muster. Thirty-nine Democrats had voted “no” on Friday on the rule to allow the foreign aid package to come to the House floor, a target that progressives just missed on Saturday on the Israel bill. Fourteen of those Democrats voted on Saturday in favor of aid to Israel, while 12 Democrats who voted to allow the package on the floor on Friday then cast votes against the funding itself.
